MOCK TRIAL before Lord Justice Rix
BILA in conjunction with the Law Commission hosted a MOCK TRIAL before Lord Justice Rix in the Lord Chief Justice's Court, Royal Courts of Justice, on Wednesday 14 November, 2007 commencing at 5.00 p.m. Counsel, Jonathan Hirst QC of Brick Court Chambers and Jeremy Stuart-Smith QC of 4 New Square, argued a non-disclosure case based on the law as it may be after reforms proposed by the Law Commission. They were assisted by junior counsel, Stephen Midwinter of Brick Court and Neil Hext of 4 New Square. Walter Merricks and Reg Brown acted the roles of expert witnesses.
